From a young age, I’ve been captivated by photography, drawn to capturing the beauty of nature – sunrises, sunsets, waterfalls, mountains, landscapes, and flowers – as well as the charm of animals like butterflies, puppies, and felines. This fascination blossomed into a love for both photography and deltiology.
Photography, to me, is a way to safeguard cherished memories. It freezes moments that fleeting and preserves things that would otherwise fade with time. This is why I am so drawn to it.
Parallel to my passion for photography, I cultivated a fondness for postcards. Similar to collecting photographs, postcards offer the added element of a message and the experience of sending and receiving them through the mail. Deltiology has since become an integral part of my life.
Deltiology, or postcard collecting, ranks as the third-largest collectible hobby worldwide, and I’m delighted to be a part of it. This hobby exposes me to diverse places and things, both familiar and undiscovered. Credit goes to the Franco-Germans, who produced the very first historical card.
The present era is dominated by photochrome postcards, often called ‘modern chromes,’ which emerged in 1939 and continue to thrive. I’ve been inspired by this trend to incorporate my photographs into customized postcards.
Customization offers creators greater freedom, allowing them to incorporate personal pictures and captions, resulting in postcards that feel more intimate and heartfelt than standard ones.
Because these postcards are unique, they require custom postcard printing – a specialized process that caters to their specific needs. When opting for custom postcard printing, it’s crucial to choose a reputable commercial printer to ensure high-quality results and avoid disappointments.
Now, I cherish my priceless possessions without worry, enjoying them to the fullest, knowing they are preserved through photography and postcards.
