PSC barcode verification equipment has achieved a significant milestone, becoming the first in the world to comply with the latest European CEN and ISO barcode quality standards. This certification confirms that PSC’s equipment is manufactured, calibrated, and rigorously tested to meet the specifications outlined in both the CEN ENV12647 standard and the ISO 15426 standard.

The Certificate of Conformance/Calibration is now included with all PSC barcode verification equipment from the QC600 series, QC800 series, and QCPC600. These verifiers have successfully passed conformance tests established by the European bar code standards committee (CEN) and ISO.

Harry Clark, Chairman of the UK master distributor and European Support Partner for PSC barcode verification equipment, emphasized the importance of this achievement. He stated that the optical geometry and wavelength of the device ensure it meets the stringent requirements of the new standards as it scans barcodes. According to Clark, the PSC mousewand device precisely adheres to the reference optical system specifications outlined in the latest European Standards. The new ISO Standards are currently under development, further solidifying PSC’s position as a leader in barcode verification technology.
