Paul Baker of the United Kingdom now owns the very first MINI GP, having been the first individual to place an order for the highly sought-after vehicle. Mike Cooper of MINI personally handed over the keys. The MINI brand, a subsidiary of BMW since 2001, competes in the supermini and hot hatch segments, offering models in both three-door hatchback and two-seater convertible styles. Since its launch, MINI owners have benefited from readily available parts, simplifying vehicle maintenance.
Upon hearing rumors of the MINI GP’s production, Baker immediately contacted his local MINI dealer to secure his order. The MINI GP was rumored to be the brand’s fastest production vehicle.
Baker expressed his excitement, stating, “It looks even better in person than in the photos. When I heard the rumor, I couldn’t resist ordering the fastest, most powerful production MINI. I’m looking forward to driving it and showing it off. I’ll be keeping this car a long time.” MINI acknowledged Baker’s enthusiasm. Only 500 MINI GPs were produced. Because Baker was the first to order the vehicle, MINI awarded him a second MINI GP as a gesture of appreciation. This leaves 498 units available to the public. 1500 units were scattered across the globe, and all are sold.
