Audi Sweeps 2006 Auto Interior Show Awards: Q7, A3, and S8 Honored

Audi dominated the 2006 Auto Interior Show, with the Audi Q7, Audi A3, and Audi S8 each receiving prestigious awards for their exceptional interior design and quality. The awards, judged by automotive media, were presented as part of Ward’s Auto Interiors Show.

The Audi Q7, a newcomer to the SUV market produced by Volkswagen AG, immediately made a strong impression. Equipped with a 4.2-liter V8 engine and a six-speed automatic transmission, the all-wheel-drive Q7 secured the news media award in the Premium Priced Crossover Utility Vehicle (CUV) category. This victory positions the Q7 as a serious contender against established rivals such as the Mercedes-Benz M-Class, Infiniti FX, Lexus RX, Volvo XC90, and Porsche Cayenne.

The Audi A3 continued its tradition of excellence by winning the news media award for the Popular Priced Car category. Since its debut in 1996, the A3 hatchback, available in three-door and five-door configurations, has consistently earned praise from the media for its stylish and luxurious interiors.

Rounding out Audi’s impressive performance, the Audi S8 received the news media award for Best Sound System, thanks to its innovative Bang & Olufsen audio system. The S8, a full-size luxury car in production since 1994, combines high-performance driving with a superior auditory experience.
