Oasis Hong Kong, recognized as a pioneer in long-haul, low-cost air travel after introducing its Hong Kong-London route, has expanded its services with a new route to Vancouver. The 12-hour, non-stop flights from Hong Kong International Airport to Vancouver will operate six days a week.

To accommodate the increased passenger demand for the Canadian route, Oasis Hong Kong acquired three additional Boeing 747-400 aircraft from All Nippon Airways (ANA) and expanded its flight operations team by adding 200 cockpit and cabin crew members.

Stephen Miller, CEO of Oasis Hong Kong Airlines, stated that Vancouver is an attractive destination for both business and leisure travelers from Hong Kong, leading to high demand for flights. He emphasized the airline’s commitment to meeting consumer needs by providing affordable service.

Economy class return tickets start at HK$3,980 (US$509), while business class return tickets are priced at HK$18,000 (US$2,303). These prices, available on the airline’s website, are significantly lower than those offered by competitors.

Oasis Hong Kong also guarantees that 10% of the economy class seats on every flight will be available at HK$1,990 (US$255) one way for at least one year.

The airline anticipates that the Vancouver route will mirror the success of its London route, where tickets start at HK$1,000 (US$128) one way. Over 100,000 passengers have flown on the London route to date. Customer feedback on the London flights has been overwhelmingly positive.

Miller expressed gratitude for the positive reception from Hong Kong customers and noted that the positive feedback, especially from business travelers, has encouraged the airline to extend its high-quality product and service to the Vancouver route.

In operation for eight months, Oasis Hong Kong has garnered praise from travelers worldwide for offering premium services not typically found on budget airlines. These include online check-in, complimentary hot meals, and personal in-flight entertainment.

Online reviews describe Oasis Hong Kong as a reliable airline with superior service compared to short-haul budget carriers, citing its excellent value and friendly cabin crew. One travel blog even named it the best travel newcomer of 2006.

With plans to expand its fleet to 25 aircraft over the next five years, Oasis Hong Kong intends to add more major aviation hubs in Europe and North America to its network, including Chicago and San Francisco in the United States, as well as Milan and Berlin. The airline is making global travel more accessible and affordable.
