Ideal for industries requiring high accuracy, such as electronics and printed circuit board (PCB) manufacturing, the Apollo 1 sets a new standard for efficiency and reliability. Like other models in the Apollo Series, the Apollo 1 boasts stand-alone functionality, enabling label printing independent of a computer connection.
The Apollo 1 applicator utilizes a tamp-type mechanism, guaranteeing delicate and ultra-precise label placement with an accuracy of +/- 0.02 inches. Rigorous field tests have demonstrated exceptional performance, achieving a best-case placement accuracy of 0.008 inches and a worst-case accuracy of 0.031 inches. Currently, end-users are successfully applying labels as small as five inches wide by two inches high. The applicator seamlessly integrates with the front of the Apollo 1 thermal transfer label printer, maintaining a remarkably compact footprint.
This innovative printer boasts a high 300 dpi print resolution, capable of printing at speeds up to eight inches (200mm) per second with a maximum print width of 4.2 inches (108mm). The Apollo 1 comes equipped with essential features, including an internal rewind and ribbon saver, coupled with a powerful high-speed 32-bit processor and 2MB of RAM. Furthermore, the Apollo 1 incorporates three resident scalable typefaces and comprehensive barcode support, encompassing industry standards such as UPC/EAN, Code 39, Code 128, Interleaved 2 of 5, and two-dimensional symbologies like PDF417.
