DriversEd.com is providing a comprehensive online platform designed to equip high school students with the knowledge and skills necessary to become safe and responsible drivers. The program offers learning tools that efficiently educate aspiring drivers about all aspects of driving, from vehicle operation to road safety.
A comprehensive driver’s education encompasses more than just mastering the mechanics of driving. It includes understanding proper driving etiquette, safe driving habits, and basic car maintenance. Knowledge of vehicle components and their functions is also essential for any driver.
DriversEd.com’s program, “click. learn. drive.,” effectively delivers comprehensive driver training to teenagers.
Graduated Driver Licensing (GDL) programs nationwide are requiring teenagers to gain more supervised driving experience. While specific GDL guidelines vary by state, common requirements include a minimum age of 15 1/2 years to obtain a learner’s permit, a waiting period of at least three months between obtaining a learner’s permit and applying for an intermediate license, and a minimum of 30 hours of supervised driving.
“We are seeing around the country that States are raising the bar for driver’s ed and training,” says DriversEd.com founder Gary Tsifrin. “It is great that teens are required to have additional training, so that they are more experienced when they hit the road making driving safer for everyone. But schedule is proving to be a real problem. We make it possible for students to complete their driver’s ed requirements on their own time.”
