The concept of “blissness” arose from a challenge by my creativity coach, who commended my progress in my budding business. The word “business” initially evoked negative imagery: women in stark suits, endless meetings, and a lack of personal time. My coach suggested replacing the word with something more appealing. Weeks later, “blissness” emerged, perfectly capturing my experience. While teaching SoulCollage® workshops and developing KaleidoSoul.com is technically a business, I prefer “blissness” because it embodies my passion for sharing SoulCollage® while generating income and spreading joy.
SoulCollage®, created by Seena Frost, is a transformative tool blending self-discovery and collage. Participants create personalized decks using evocative magazine images, tapping into the subconscious. A SoulCollage® deck consists of four suits representing personality aspects, influential figures, animal allies, and guiding archetypes. Interpreting these cards unlocks inner insights.
After creating my first SoulCollage® card, I immediately envisioned a related business, although the specifics were unclear. Fueled by passion, I dove in without a formal plan, aiming to share SoulCollage® widely.
The key to building a “blissness” lies in passion (heart) and intuition (soul). Meaningful work stems from aligning with one’s inner self, allowing universal abundance to flow through inner wisdom.
I deepened my SoulCollage® practice, enhancing my desire to share it. I initiated local workshops in eastern Massachusetts.
The need for a website became apparent. Research led me to SiteSell’s Site Build It (SBI), instrumental in building and marketing KaleidoSoul.com. Developing KaleidoSoul provided a crash course in web design, internet marketing, keyword research, and HTML fundamentals.
Subsequent steps arose from intuition. Remaining open and receptive is crucial. Following these intuitive nudges has guided my path.
I trust my instincts and follow their guidance. This approach led to creating a monthly ezine called Soul Songs, collaborations with other websites, an active Yahoo Groups community, e-courses on SoulCollage, and upcoming events such as the KaleidoSoul Kindred Spirits Members-Only Tele-Class and the annual SoulCollage® Weekend Retreat.
Some aspects of this “blissness” can be tedious, such as photocopying flyers and website updates. However, remembering the core purpose—living in rhythm with heart and soul—transforms these tasks into steps toward creative fulfillment.
