PSC’s barcode verification equipment has achieved a significant milestone, becoming the first in the world to comply with the latest European CEN and ISO barcode quality standards. This certification confirms that PSC’s equipment adheres to the rigorous specifications outlined in both the CEN ENV12647 and ISO 15426 standards, ensuring the highest levels of accuracy and reliability.
Effective immediately, a Certificate of Conformance/Calibration will be included with all PSC barcode verification equipment from the QC600 series, QC800 series, and QCPC600. These verifiers are the only ones to have successfully passed the conformance tests established by the European barcode standards committee (CEN) and ISO to date. Harry Clark, Chairman of the UK master distributor and European Support Partner for PSC barcode verification equipment, emphasized the importance of this achievement, stating that the optical geometry and wavelength of the device meet the stringent requirements of the new European standards. He noted that the ‘mousewand’ device precisely aligns with the reference optical system detailed in the recently published European Standards, while the new ISO Standards are still under development, making it the only solution currently available that meets these criteria.
