The 2007 Chrysler Aspen, derived from the Dodge Durango, marked Chrysler’s entry into the SUV market. Unveiled at the 2006 North American International Auto Show, the Aspen offered three rows of seating for up to eight passengers, available with all-wheel drive. Engine options included a 236-horsepower 4.7-liter PowerTech V8 and a robust 335-horsepower 5.7-liter Hemi V8.

Chrysler touted the Aspen as a ‘guilt-free indulgence,’ emphasizing its premium features, distinctive Chrysler design, fuel-saving Multi-Displacement System (MDS) technology, and comprehensive safety features. It boasted best-in-class horsepower, torque, and interior space.

Compared to larger SUVs, the 2007 Chrysler Aspen was promoted as more fuel-efficient and maneuverable. Against full-size SUVs, it offered comparable passenger and cargo space with substantial towing capacity. Premium features included LED interior lighting, express-up windows, a navigation radio, heated seats, and a rear-seat DVD entertainment system. A one-touch lane-change feature enhanced driver convenience.

Safety features encompassed Electronic Stability Program (ESP), Electronic Roll Mitigation (ERM), ParkSense parking assist, a Tire Pressure Monitoring (TPM) system, and side-curtain airbags for all rows.

The Aspen’s design incorporated cues from the Chrysler 300 and Crossfire, notably the signature chromed grille and sculpted hood. The grille, a prominent Chrysler design element inspired by the Chrysler Chronos concept car, featured the brand’s gold seal.
